Blocked resources

Blocked resources

While looking around Google Search Console, or while running a pagespeed/mobile-friendly test, you may notice a mention of blocked resources.

If you're concerned about these blocked resources, contact us with a screenshot, and we can check them out for you.

However, please be aware that we do block some JS/CSS files on your site, and they are very likely to be the "blocked resources" showing up in this test!

Blocking these JS/CSS files is generally good practice for search engines, as the page will render faster for the bots, and that's our recommended way of allowing a higher crawl budget and better ranking.

It is possible to unblock these resources, to enable the bots to crawl the JS and CSS. However, we don't recommend it in most cases.
