Will I lose my share count if I change plugins?
There are many plugins available that allow you to display your social shares on pages and posts. We recommend Social Pug, Scriptless Social Sharing, Sassy Social Share or Jetpack, but you may be using Monarch or Easy Social Share Buttons for WordPress. If you would like to change from one of these plugins to another, the share count should not be affected.
Share counts are based the URL of the post, so as long as you don't change the URL (i.e. the slug or the domain, or add a SSL certificate), your share counts will stay intact. However, if you have upgraded to HTTPS and your exisiting plugin has retained share counts from the HTTP version of your site, you may see a change.
