Images are missing from my thumbnails

Thumbnails are the small images that appear in various areas of websites, for example on the homepage next to an article excerpt, or in a related posts section. In WordPress, most thumbnails are small versions of the image in the "featured image" section of the article.

If no image is appearing in an area that uses thumbnails, most of the time this is because no featured image has been designated for the post. You can check this by opening the post and scrolling down to the "featured image" section. If you just see a link saying "set featured image" then no featured image has been attached to that article. Click the link and choose a photo from your media library.

If a lot of your articles are missing featured images, we can run a process which automatically fills the "featured image" area with the first photo in the post. Send an email to support@performancefoundry.com to let us know you'd like us to do that.
